Go ahead and read the english version!
Why do you think Australia is a good Work & Travel destination and might be different to other destinations?
„Australia is a very big and diverse country that has a lot to offer. There are different options for everyone. You can, for instance, learn how to surf, relax at the beach, take a trip to the outback or learn how to snorkel at the Great Barrier Reef. Many people do not know that you can actually ski in Australia.
Next to this, Australia is a good place to develop your English skills by at the same time earning a lot of money – so if you can, I recommend staying as long as your visa allows you to.”
What would your recommendations or „Must- Do´s“ for Australia be?
„To me, a trip along the east coast is a „must do“. You can find the most beautiful beaches and surf spots as well as the Great Barrier reef and big cities at the east coast.
However, another beautiful, if not my favourite place in Australia is Cairns. There simply is so much to do and see. It is close to the rainforest, offers you multiple options to explore the Great Barrier Reef and is very suitable for „Adrenalin – Junkies “.
I would recommend taking an east coast tour first and travelling along the west coast afterwards. It is less touristic and crowded, you can find many of open roads, kangaroos and beaches to explore. Another big advantage is, that you will always be able to find a free camping spot to save some money. “
Do you think you have to be a certain type of personality to be able to do Work & Travel in Australia or would you recommend it to everyone?
„Generally, I would recommend it to everyone. Some of our candidates might think their English is not good enough or they do not really feel settled yet. Indeed, some participants are rather shy in the beginning.
However, we notice huge differences in the way they improve their language skills and how they personally develop throughout the time. All in all, I would say that you should be open minded, flexible and take challenges as they come. “
